Meet Jenny Janssen

We are excited to welcome Jenny Janssen to the Common Ground team as our newest Account Executive!

Jenny graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science and Agricultural Journalism and an emphasis in strategic communication.

After graduating from Mizzou, Jenny joined the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Domestic and International Marketing program where she built the team’s communications efforts from the ground-up. She helped raise program awareness by implementing a social media and email marketing strategy, along with a quarterly newsletter. She even led a trade mission—taking a group of Taiwanese business leaders across the state on a tour of several Missouri agribusinesses.

In fall 2019, Jenny moved to St. Louis, joining Graybar’s corporate communications team as a communications specialist. At Graybar, Jenny managed the company’s quarterly internal magazine and developed social media content in conjunction with the marketing and communications department. She also gained valuable experience writing speeches and editing content for the company blog and website.

Since joining Common Ground, Jenny has gotten her feet wet with clients and projects in a variety of industries. She is producing deliverables, participating in client meetings and learning how to work with the media.

“The minute I stepped into Common Ground on my first day, I knew this would be a place where I would be able to thrive,” Jenny said. “The team has been so welcoming, and I cannot wait to get to know everyone in the coming months!”

Outside of the office, Jenny loves trying new recipes, hanging with her cat, Twyla, going to concerts with friends, and collecting records. As a fun fact, Jenny has lived in England, has visited 12 countries, and is originally from Houston, Texas.
