Account Coordinator
With a background in both public relations and journalism, Shannon uses her passion for people and her knowledge of communications fundamentals to support Common Ground PR clients.
Before joining CGPR, she interned at Geile/Leon Marketing Communications, where she managed media lists, drafted press releases, conducted secondary research and pitched stories to journalists to secure media coverage. She also completed a communications internship with St. Louis-based retail company Summersalt.
Shannon graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri School of Journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications and a minor in business. While there, she served as the Public Relations/Content Manager for Mizzou’s full-service, student-led advertising agency AdZou.
